A narrow city patio becomes a lush, layered oasis with room for everything
Once an alleyway behind city cottages, this long and narrow patio had fallen into disrepair—painted baby blue and lacking purpose. The client, who had styled every room in her home, wanted this forgotten space to become a serene escape in the heart of the city.
We transformed it into a warm, multi-zone retreat with wood decking, a small bistro set, and walls painted in sage, terracotta, and off-white. A path of stepping stones set in artificial grass leads through terracotta pots, climbers, and cedar paneling to a cozy lounge with an L-shaped sofa, mirrors, and festoon lights.
Three distinct zones now flow together to create a calm, layered, and character-filled city garden.
