A tiny courtyard turned modern retreat—for two people and two lucky cats
This tiny courtyard was transformed into a modern, multi-purpose outdoor space designed for both the homeowners and their two cats. We levelled the floor using composite decking, layered in artificial grass tiles and tiling, and added a cedar-clad feature wall for warmth and texture.
A separate bench with hidden storage provides a cozy seating area, while a large mirror expands the space visually. A custom catio net overhead keeps the cats safe to roam freely. Japanese maples and festoon lighting complete this calm and playful inner-city retreat.
